The Optical Density (OD) during fermentation can be accurately measured using a Molecular Devices SpectraMax plate reader. To monitor the status of the bioreactor and obtain process insights, the IDBS Polar Biopharma Lifecycle Management software can be utilized. This software collates offline or inline cultivation parameter data and helps keep track of the bioreactor's performance.
