Single cell isolation workflow is an integral part of cross-disciplinary applications in multi-omics, immune oncology, rare cell identification, drug discovery, stem cell or regenerative medicine research, biologics development, CRISPR gene editing technologies, mRNA vaccine development and epigenetics research
DispenCell™ - Single Cell Dispenser is an affordable simple yet elegant pipetting robot, designed for fast, easy and gentle single-cell isolation. The system performs single cell seeding using Impedance based technology with a sensing tip that detects the cell passage into a well plate and generates electrical signal (Coulter counter). This recorded electrical signature profile provides traceability and monoclonality assessment for the entire plate.
The open deck contains two separate carriers to load 6,12,24,96- or 384- well plates. The dispensing head with its dispensing unit can move freely on a 3-axes robotic stage and is compatible with a variety of cell types. The intuitive software interface with single cell analysis tool provides proof of clonality report.
Our automated single cell dispensers provide efficient isolation of single cells (96-well plate >10 min) while preserving cell viability.
Patented sensing tips on the system allow rapid single cell dispensing with no cross contamination. The impedance technology for single cell seeding allows for very gentle cell handling (>0.2 psi), similar to manual pipetting, ensuring high viability with minimal stress induced cell response during seeding, ultimately improving the data quality of your single cell assays.
It’s simple user friendly design requires no cleaning or calibration making it easier to operate or maintain.

Applications
Applications of Single Cell Dispenser
From stable cell line development to single-cell cloning, to antibody discovery & single cell omics research our automated cell dispenser can be used in a range of lab workflows:
- For Antibody production platform monoclonality assurance is a requirement from FDA and DispenCell provides high fidelity single cell isolation with >90% monoclonality reliability. Our dispenser can aid in creating clonal cell lines by seeding individual cells in separate wells of 96-well and 384-well plates in less time than manual approaches and with higher precision and accuracy.
- The multi-omics analyses of isolated cells provide insight into the biological characteristics and functionality of cells, including those of underlying diseases. The manual approaches, like limiting dilution can be error-prone, laborious, and time-consuming Ultra high throughput methods like FACS have their own drawbacks from big footprint, complicated operation, significant gating setup requirements for every cell population to most important, the stress endured by the cells during sorting tend to change the functional characteristics of the cell itself making data discernment complicated. Gentle cell seeding is the key to preserving cell integrity and getting high fidelity data for ensuring researchers gain meaningful phenotypic and genotypic insights for cell characterization. Our efficient yet extremely gentle automated single-cell dispenser can help generating those high value insights, Researchers require single-cell-derived clones for high-throughput downstream applications, such as the production of therapeutic proteins. Our single-cell dispensers allow fast, gentle, and easy cell isolation, ensuring rapid and easy retrieval of individual cells. They also offer instant confirmation of clonality and traceability after cell dispensing. The compact design can be integrated easily into any existing workflow.
- Our automated single-cell dispensers enable researchers to conduct precision analysis of the genetic and molecular characteristics of each isolated cell. The dispensers ensure controlled and gentle cell deposition, allowing researchers to conduct in-depth studies at a single-cell level. This advances our understanding of cellular heterogeneity and helps in cancer research, developmental biology, and immunology.
