Secondary antibodies are commonly conjugated to enzymes, fluorophores, tags, or other molecules to allow for detection or visualization. HRP substrates can be categorized as chromogenic (eg, DAB, TMB, or OPD), fluorogenic (eg, ADHP), or chemiluminescent (eg, ECL), depending on whether they generate a colored, fluorescent, or luminescent product.
