Secondary Cherry Picking
After determining successful hits from primary screening return to working stocks to repeat cherry picking and move to secondary screening. The number of compounds or biologic drugs in this round will be significantly fewer compared to primary screens. Transfer successful hits from microplates used for working stocks and consolidate onto new reagent plates using a Biomek i-Series Automated Liquid Handler or Echo 650 Series Acoustic Liquid Handler.
Secondary screens are progressively more complex than initial or primary screens. Keep track of compounds in working stocks using IDBS Polar Biopharma Lifecycle Management Software and remove potential ambiguity in recordkeeping.
