Intra-tumor heterogeneity represents a major barrier to cancer therapies. To understand how states of cancer cells relate to their spatial localization, we performed CODEX spatial profiling of tumor samples with custom antibody panels for defined cancer cell states and TME cell types. In glioma, cell states are highly dependent on spatial localization and their specific organization is linked to hypoxia. We further evaluated the connection between cell states and the extracellular matrix (ECM) by also profiling the composition and spatial distribution of ECM components
