How does Lightning-Link® antibody conjugation work?
The Lightning-Link® process involves pipetting your antibody or biomolecule into a vial of lyophilized mixture containing the label of interest. Incubate from 15 minutes (Lightning-Link® Fast range) to around 3 hours (Lightning-Link® range) to create reproducible conjugates with no loss of antibody. This simple yet sophisticated protocol saves time and resources.
What makes Lightning-Link® technology unique?
This labeling technology eliminates traditional post-conjugation purification steps, preventing antibody loss. It offers a quick and easy solution with hands-on time as short as 30 seconds, ensuring scalability and consistent performance across experiments.
What are the key considerations for antibody conjugation?
For successful conjugation, ensure the antibody is purified at a concentration of at least 1 mg/mL and free from incompatible buffer constituents. For antibodies that do not meet these requirements, purification and concentration kits are available to help.
How is conjugation success confirmed?
Conjugation success can be checked using our conjugation check kits, which provide a quick and easy way to verify the labeling without needing specialized equipment. Alternatively, a trial experiment can confirm the conjugate’s performance in its intended application.
